After developing a thicker Rear Anti-Roll Bar for our 205 racecars, the improvement was so dramatic that we developed and produced a thicker one for road cars with equally dramatic improvement.
The Xsara has a 24mm Rear ARB as standard and the largest bar that will fit without modifying the trailing arms is 28.5mm on the Near Side and 25.4mm on the Off Side hence why we have developed a Hybrid ARB of that size. This has got to be one of the best value chassis improvements that can be made to the Xsara.
It improves turn-in noticeably whilst reducing roll-induced oversteer which is infamous for many a Xsara spinning and/or being written off. The Rear ARB can be replaced simply by removing the Lever Ends from the Rear Beam and it does not involve any dismantling of the torsion bars. It cannot be seen as it lives inside the rear beam tube (Obviously all modifications should be disclosed to your insurer). Many of these have been sold to club members with 100% complete satisfaction, in fact you can spot someone that has a thicker ARB fitted as they have a permanent grin on their face! We believe that these are the only Thicker ARB's available that are machined from a single length of the correct high-tensile spring steel and not cobbled together from sections!
