The Bilstein B8 dampers are a great upgrade to your Citroen AX suspension. The dampers are monotube with digressive valving to give a firm but smooth ride and reduce the chassis roll when cornering. Bilstein B8 dampers are shortened so are for cars running lowering springs such as the Eibach Sportline. Use these for your Citroen AX if mostly driving on the road. The Citroen AX has damper inserts at the front. To get to the original front damper remove the top mount and springs, then undo the top cap that holds the insert in place. The Bilstein B8 dampers are thicker Monotube dampers compared to standard so come with their own retaining cap when fitting the Bilsteins inside the hub carrier. Rear dampers are held on with two bolts each side.
This Bilstein B8 Damper kit contains the B8 Sprint front and B6/B8 Sport rear dampers for the Citroen AX and is suitable for cars running lower than -25mm drop with shortened dampers.
