The Walbro GST450K is now the best in tank fuel pump on the market today. Whilst exceeding the Bosch 044 fuel pump for flow rate, its also far quieter, lighter and of a much more compact design to make installation easier. This units new award winning turbine design produces so much flow rate that it now removes the need for using a twin in-line double fuel pump set-up on high horse-power applications.
The innovative design of this pump features a single impeller with two parallel rows of turbine blades on a common shaft (like a jet engine). These blades feed two high-pressure pumping channels, as opposed to a conventional single-stage pump that uses an impeller with a single row of blades at its outer edge. This innovative design results in improved hot fuel flow, as well as minimal noise and current use, resulting in efficiency that’s 20% higher than conventional pumps.
This is the newer version of the 39/50 DC/SS pump that many people know as the 400LPH pump, however this version is E85 compatible and produces faster flow. All electrical connections must be sealed to be used with E85, therefore this updated version has a built in electrical harness with DELPHI manufactured Packard type connectors.
Please note this is not a vehicle specific pump, therefore it requires modifications to the fuel module / sender wiring, fuel lines.
