Renault 5 GT Turbo Engine Mount Kit (Fast Road)
The R5 uses a 3 point mounting system with all 3 mounts carrying some of the engine mass onto a one piece front subframe. Driving torque is mainly reacted by the rear mount. All other lateral, for-aft, pitch and roll loads are reacted by all 3 mounts.
We have designed mounts which are a direct replacement for the originals but give more control of engine movement in all directions while maintaining acceptable levels of NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). These mountings are designed to control engine movement under performance and competition driving conditions but still give a degree of isolation.
