We have been producing a range of stiffer front & rear anti-roll bars for our Peugeot 205 & 309 race cars for some time now and the improvement has been so dramatic that we developed and produced these bars for road cars with equally dramatic improvement.
The 205 GTI's have a 17mm front ARB as standard and the largest bar that will fit inside the original brackets is 25mm, hence why we have spent the past 12 months developing, testing and manufacturing a world first 25mm front antiroll bar for the 205 & 309 models. Prior to Spoox Motorsport inventing the 25mm bar the largest bar available was the 22mm bar from the 309 GTI.This popular upgrade is now in short supply on the second hand market and with these used bars becoming 20+ years old they are often 'soft' and perform badly. Hence why we have revolutionised the front end of this iconic model with a 25mm bar that is brand new using Eibachs in depth roll bar experience we have not only reproduced this bar but enhanced it. This has got to be one of the best value chassis improvements that can be made to the 205 GTI.
It improves turn-in noticeably whilst reducing tyre roll and understeer throughout high speed corners.
These bars do require the replacement of the front antiroll bar bushes which are included in this kit produced by Powerflex exclusively for Spoox Motorsport from a shore 95 compound polyuraethane. These bars and bushes allow the use of the original antiroll bar clamps & original subframe.
